  • A range becomes a fixed price after a short scoping call. What moves a price: users and departments, data to migrate, integrations, and how much is configured versus built.
  • Prices exclude VAT (16% in Kenya) and withholding tax.
  • Azure consumption is billed by Microsoft and is not included.

Who this is for

  • Organizations already running workloads in Azure where the bill is growing faster than anyone can explain.
  • Teams that migrated to cloud and kept operating it like a data center, oversized virtual machines running continuously, no tagging, no owner per resource.
  • Organizations with a compliance or residency obligation that needs to be evidenced in how the environment is configured.
  • Anyone whose Azure estate was set up by a departed engineer and is now understood by nobody.

What Azure management covers

Two things organizations usually need at once: getting the environment into a defensible state, and keeping it there without it drifting again.

  • Assessment of the current estate, what is running, what it costs, who owns it and what is no longer used.
  • Cost optimization: right-sizing, reserved capacity where consumption is predictable, and shutting down what nothing depends on.
  • Governance: subscription and resource group structure, tagging, policy and role-based access.
  • Security baseline, including network design, identity and secrets handling.
  • Backup, recovery and a tested position on what happens when something fails.
  • Ongoing managed operation where you would rather not carry the capability in-house.

How the engagement runs

  1. 1

    Assessment

A full inventory with cost attribution. The common finding is a meaningful share of spend on resources nobody can name an owner for.

  2. 2

    Quick wins

Obvious waste removed and obvious exposures closed first, because they fund the rest of the work and build confidence.

  3. 3

    Governance implementation

Structure, tagging, policy and access applied so the estate cannot drift back as quietly as it drifted out.

  4. 4

    Ongoing operation

Either handover to your team with documentation, or a managed arrangement where we operate it.

What you need in place

  • Administrative access to the subscriptions in scope.
  • Someone who can authorize shutting things down. The largest savings usually require a decision nobody has wanted to make.
  • Clarity on compliance or residency obligations that constrain the design.
  • A decision on whether you intend to operate this yourselves afterwards, since it changes what we build and document.

Working with Sibasi on Azure

Our Azure bill keeps rising. What usually causes it?

Most often, resources sized for peak and run continuously, environments created for a project and never removed, and storage that accumulates because nothing has a lifecycle policy. Cloud makes provisioning trivial and decommissioning somebody else’s problem. The assessment attributes cost to owners, which is usually the first time anyone has seen the bill broken down in a way that prompts decisions.

Will optimization break things?

Not if it is done with evidence rather than assumption. Right-sizing is based on observed utilization over a meaningful period, changes are made with a rollback position, and anything without a clear owner is isolated before it is removed rather than deleted outright. The risk in optimization is acting on a spreadsheet; the risk in not optimizing is a bill that grows every month.

Can you operate it for us?

Yes, as a managed arrangement, and it suits organizations that do not want to carry deep Azure capability permanently. It is worth deciding this early, because an estate we will operate is documented and structured differently from one your team will take over. What we would avoid is an ambiguous arrangement where neither side is clearly accountable at three in the morning.

What about data residency?

It constrains region selection and sometimes service selection, since not every Azure service is available in every region. Where you have a residency obligation, that gets established at the start and written into the design, because discovering a constraint after workloads are placed is an expensive correction.
