Which plan do we need?

It depends on headcount, security requirements and role mix. Business Basic, Standard and Premium cover organizations up to 300 users, with Premium adding the security and device management most organizations discover they need. Above 300 users, or where advanced compliance and analytics matter, the enterprise plans apply. Education institutions have their own academic plans. Sizing is the first thing we do, because buying the wrong plan is an expensive twelve-month decision.

Can you get us a better price than buying direct?

We procure as a Microsoft partner and will quote you against your requirement. What we will not do is promise a discount percentage before seeing what you need, because the number depends on plan mix, volume and commitment term. Ask for a quote and you will get a real one rather than an indicative figure that changes at contract.

Do we need to license everyone the same way?

No, and doing so is one of the most common sources of waste. Frontline, shift and field staff who need mail and Teams on a phone but not a desktop Office install can sit on frontline plans at a fraction of the cost. Mixing plans by role is normal, supported, and usually where the saving in a licence review comes from.

What does "setting up properly" actually mean?

It means the things that are easy to skip and painful to retrofit: multi-factor authentication enforced, conditional access reflecting where people work from, retention configured against your obligations, data loss prevention on sensitive content, and an administrative model where not everyone is a global admin. Tenants set up in a hurry typically have none of these, and the gap only becomes visible during an incident.
