Highlights

Multiple locations and bins Receiving and put-away Picking and shipping Stock counts and reorder points

Sound familiar?

  • The stock count never matches the system
  • Pickers walk the warehouse hunting for items
  • Goods arrive but sit unrecorded for days
  • You cannot see stock across branches without phoning around

Stock records you can trust, because they match what is on the shelf

Warehouses lose money quietly: misplaced items, mis-picks, stock that is counted but not recorded. Business Central’s warehouse tools give every location and bin an identity and every movement a record. We set up your layout, your receiving and picking routines and your counting schedule, and teach your team to work with them day to day.

Know where everything is

Locations, zones and bins

Model your warehouses, branches and shelf positions so every item has an address. Finding stock takes seconds, not a walk.

Stock across all locations

See what is available at each branch and in transit between them, and promise customers with confidence.

Transfers between warehouses

Move stock from one location to another with a record at both ends and visibility while it is on the road.

Receive, store, pick and ship

Receiving and put-away

Check deliveries against the purchase order, record what really arrived and send it to the right bin. Stock is usable as soon as it is received.

Picking and shipping

Generate pick lists by order, wave or route, then confirm shipment. Fewer mis-picks and fewer wrong deliveries.

Barcode scanning

Use handheld scanners or phones to receive, move and pick by barcode. Where scanning needs an add-on, we advise and set it up.

Lot, serial and expiry control

Track batches and expiry dates, and use first-expiry, first-out picking so stock is sold in time.

Count and replenish

Cycle counts and stock takes

Count a few locations every week instead of closing the warehouse once a year. Differences are caught early and explained.

Reorder points and replenishment

Set minimum levels and let the system propose what to order, so you avoid stock-outs and avoid cash tied up in excess.

Inventory valuation and reports

Stock value, ageing, slow movers and movements by location, tied directly to your accounts.

  • A range becomes a fixed price after a short scoping call. What moves a price: users and departments, data to migrate, integrations, and how much is configured versus built.
  • Optional annual support and managed governance starts at 18% of the project value per year (minimum $1,800). Changes after go-live are $85 per hour, or a prepaid 20-hour block for $1,600.
  • Prices exclude VAT (16% in Kenya) and withholding tax.

Questions we hear most

Do we need the most advanced licence for warehouse features?

Basic receiving, picking and bins are included in the standard offering. More advanced directed put-away and pick options need the Premium licence. We recommend the lightest option that fits your operation.

Can we use barcode scanners?

Yes. We set up scanning using handheld devices or phones. Some scanning solutions are add-ons from Microsoft partners, and we will advise you on what suits your warehouse.

We have several branches. Can it show stock across all of them?

Yes. You see stock by location and in total, and can move stock between branches with a full record.

How do we fix a stock record that is already a mess?

We start with a clean opening count, load it carefully and put counting routines in place so the records stay right.

Does it connect to sales and finance?

Yes. It is part of Business Central, so stock movements update sales availability and your accounts without double entry.
